We are looking for an experienced backend engineer who is excited about working on a next-generation meter file storage system. Your job will be to develop, test, and deploy improvements to make infrastructure more scalable, cost-effective, and performant, as well as developing new platform features and capabilities.

We have openings at multiple levels on this team. Your level will be based on performance in the interview process as well as the experience you bring to the company.

What you will do

• Create new micro services on AWS Lambda
• Handle large data sets processing
• Create publicly facing API's
• Contribute to amberflo SDK's
• Troubleshoot production issues with observability tools

• You are an experienced, self-starter backend engineer that is passionate about modern technology and cloud-native software architecture. 
• You have 3 years of experience building microservices with Java and/or NodeJS.
• You have experience with AWS technologies such as S3, SQS, RDS, and Lambda, and hands-on experience using and developing the following: designing REST APIs; data pipelines using timeseries data, DynamoDB, and Athena; CI/CD with cloud formations; unitests and mocking frameworks; payments/billing solutions
• You are disciplined in your approach to writing quality code, backed by best practices and years of hands-on experience. 
• You have a bias towards moving fast and making things happen. You are looking to take ownership and make an immediate impact. 
• You have an understanding of the concept of a metering service as it relates to underpinning usage-based pricing and billing infrastructure.
• You work well as part of a team. You have experience mentoring junior team members, you collaborate well, share and receive constructive feedback, and are not afraid to stand up for what you believe in.
